What You Will Learn in this Course

This course explores a range of physical geography themes that fit into a range of exam boards and gear up participants for studying this at a higher level.  The course will start with the water and carbon cycle and how these systems influence the world around us. Next up will be coastal landscapes and how these landscapes are shaped. Closely followed will be glaciers and how their presence can reveal so much about past and present climates. Next will be tectonics and the earth as a system with its associated hazards. We will then explore ecosystems and biodiversity as key components of our world system. We will finish the course with an overview of energy systems and climate change.

About Me

Hi, nice to meet you!

I am Will, an environmental practitioner with expertise in MSc Environmental Impact Assessment and Management. With top grades at GCSE, A-level, and a first-class honors degree in geography, I am driven to educate the next generation about environmental, geographical, and scientific phenomena. As a passionate advocate for the natural world, I aim to teach the human world about meeting its basic needs. With two years of experience as an online tutor, I have successfully helped students gain confidence in various subjects. My ultimate goal is to inspire a passion for the world through quality education.
As you may tell, I am a tutor who loves the natural world! In my spare time, I enjoy surfing, rock climbing, and running! Pretty much anything that connects me with the phenomena I seek to learn about in my education!
Here is a little taster for you:
Have you ever considered the first rule of Geography? Or even heard of it? Many people actually haven't! But this relatively unknown rule is possibly one of the most comprehensive and inspiring rules I have ever encountered. Here it is:
"Everything is related to everything else. But near things are more related than distant things"
Now take some time to think about it and we can discuss this in our first session! I look forward to meeting you!”
