About Me

Hi, nice to meet you!

My name is Matthieu, and I'm here to help you improve your language skills.

But before we dive in, I have to be real with you - I'm not a native English speaker. Surprise, surprise, I'm actually French!

"But why would I want a French guy to teach me English?" you may ask.

Well, let me tell you.

✔ I have been in your shoes: As a non-native English speaker myself, I know the challenges of learning a new language. But I also know that with hard work and dedication, you can overcome those challenges, and I'm here to help you every step of the way.

✔ Unique perspective: Being a non-native speaker means that I have a deep understanding of the nuances of the English language that many native speakers do not. This allows me to explain things in a way that makes learning easier for you.

✔ Personalised lessons just for you: Whether you're looking to improve your business English or simply perfect your conversational skills, I can create a lesson plan that meets your specific needs. I have visited more than 17 countries so far, and with my knowledge of English, French, Spanish, and (basic) Chinese, I can probably explain things to you in a language you already know.

✔ Credentials and experience: With a Master's degree in English studies, a high score on the TOEFL exam, and a TEFL Level 5 certification, you can be confident in my qualifications. I have over 12 years of experience teaching English to students of all ages and backgrounds, including at Chinese universities for almost 10 years.

✔ I prioritize your confidence: Learning a language can be scary. Especially when you have to speak to a foreigner. This is why my ultimate goal is to help you feel confident in your ability to speak English and be understood by others.
