You will master the art of effectively structuring your answers to each question in the exam paper. You will learn how to use interesting words and phrases to make your writing engaging and captivating. We will explore different language techniques and sentence forms to enhance the clarity and impact of your writing. Additionally, you will learn the proper use of quotations to effectively demonstrate key features and support your arguments. By the end of the course, you will develop a polished paragraph style that enhances the flow and coherence of your writing.

Hi, nice to meet you!

I’m Emily and I’ve tutored English language and literature for nearly 3 years. English has always been a passion of mine and I love teaching it to others, helping them to understand and appreciate different texts, books, and devices.

I gained A levels in English Language, Textiles, and Philosophy and Ethics before graduating from the University of Leeds in 2020 with a 2:1 BA in Fashion Design with an industrial year (a bit of a change to English I know! 

Tutoring English for the past 3 years has been a dream come true. I love seeing my students’ confidence soar and their faces light up when something suddenly clicks. I like to keep my lessons fun and engaging, and make people feel like this is not just extra work - English can be fun, I promise!
