I’m Emily and I’ve tutored English language and literature for nearly 3 years. English has always been a passion of mine and I love teaching it to others, helping them to understand and appreciate different texts, books, and devices.

I gained A levels in English Language, Textiles, and Philosophy and Ethics before graduating from the University of Leeds in 2020 with a 2:1 BA in Fashion Design with an industrial year (a bit of a change to English I know! 

During the pandemic, I started tutoring, as well as working as a community carer with children and adults with SEN. I am therefore experienced in a range of needs and can accommodate any lesson accordingly.

Tutoring English for the past 3 years has been a dream come true. I love seeing my students’ confidence soar and their faces light up when something suddenly clicks. I like to keep my lessons fun and engaging, and make people feel like this is not just extra work - English can be fun, I promise!
